Fast little car besides talon and eclipse?

So im getting a new car, up to 5000 because i cant afford anything more….My first choice was a talon tsi awd, but ive heard so many horror stories on the motor that i dont really want one anymore, plus my dad owns an auto salvage yard, and he wont allow me to get one, is there any other little car like the eagle or mitsubishi that is in that price range? thanks

Try the Saab 900 or 9-3 (4 cyl-turbo). You will get an about $30,000 car for about $5000. I ve been working on them for 28 years. You should find a good inexpensive knowledgeable mechanic so that you can have the car checked out by them before you buy it, then just enjoy the ride.

if i were u id look at the acura integra. its a nice little car, gets good mpg, lots of after market parts to make it a fast ride and even a show car. or if u dont like the integra id go for the nissan 240sx lots of aftermarkets parts.
