I have a 1990 Camry that needs a transmission. I've been calling around the salvage yards for the part on my car. What are good questions to ask the places about the car. So I want get a bad transmission. Example: what is the mileage on the car? Is the transmission is good shape?

i was always taught to look for a wrecked car in a salvage yard to get parts off of. so you know the thing was running before it went down

Sounds like billy has a loose nut. Of course it was running before it went down. Ask them if they will give u a written guarantee that it works. That way u can return it if it isn't. If they won't do that, go to the next yard to get it.

Sounds like A man has lost his grip on his nuts. Of course the junk yards are full of abandoned vehicles that quit running due to transmission failure. In fact, most FWD GM vehicles in the junk yard are there because the transmission failed so you should try to get one out of a wreck and with a good guarantee. You want 30 days, not 3 days.
